Suitability of intercrops in Pre-seasonal sugarcane
Nutrient requirement in Sugarcane based intercropping system.
Suitability of intercrops in Seasonal cane
Irrigation requirement for Sugarcane based intercropping system

  • Need base research [1996-1999]

Utility of fly ash for field crops were studied.
Increase in yield of soybean arhar was observed.
Boron, TIBA and ‘S’ were effective for seed setting in sunflower.
TAG-19 was found promising variety during kharif sown groundnut.

  • On-farm water management[1993-1996]

Technology of on farm  water management, irrigation requirement, land layout for safflower, tur, sunflower, sorghum were  released for cultivation in canal command area of Jayakwadi Project

  • Production Technology of sugarcane ratoon [1989 – 1993]

During Ph.D. research at UAS Bangalore, Technology generated to increased productivity of ratoon sugarcane. Use of growth regulators, cycocel 2000 ppm. Ethrel 500 ppm, GA 100 ppm were found promising to stimulated sprouting on stubbles. Ethrel 500 ppm was effective to control flowering in cane and increased CCS %, no of apical internodes and ultimately yield. 

  • Upland Rice Production Technology [1986-89]

Seed rate, spacing, sowing, time, fertilizer management, irrigation management, cropping systems, use of growth regulators. These production technology was released for Upland rice variety ‘Prabhavati’

  • Pulse production Technology [1980 – 86]

Released Pulse Production Technology for cultivation in Marathwada region
